Golf on Ice

How do you register to golf?

You can purchase tickets on Eventbrite. Or, you can purchase tickets at the Golf on Ice event if space is still available!

How Much Does it cost golf?

The cost is $35 per person. You can purchase tickets online or at the event. 

How many Golfers can you have on a team?

The more the merrier! You can register 20 people online at a time, but the sky is the limit. 

What do We use to golf?

We supply tennis balls, scorecards, and pencils.  YOU bring the golf club of your choice. We’ve seen anything from a hockey stick, broom, or tennis racket to a golf club.

Can I just come and watch?

Yes, you are welcome to swing by and observe the festivities!

But remember, we are raising money for the White Bear Area Food Shelf; if you want to golf or partake in the event amenities, please pay the registration fee.

Is there food for purchase?

Pizza Barn will be selling pizza by the slice (regular and gluten-free!) and other assorted treats at BEAR’ly Open Golf on Ice!

Is alcohol permitted?

BEAR’ly Open is a BYOB event. Think of it as boating on the lake in the summer. You can bring your own, but it’s not for sale at the event.

Also, please note that the consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited at Ramsey County Beach and its parking lot (or anywhere off the lake). So please discard all alcoholic beverages into our trash receptacles when leaving the ice.

Do not drink and drive; use a designated driver or taxi. Keep in mind, per Minnesota state law, you must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcohol.

Can you "Bring Your Own Sled"?

You won’t just see creative-looking golfers out on the ice; some teams even take it to the next level and bring sleds to haul their equipment! Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for some fantastic examples.

How long does it take to Play a round of golf?

Typically, golfers enjoy their time out on the course. Tee time tickets are 11:30 am or 1 pm, giving you a leisurely pace of 1.5 hours, but there is no rush. 

What if I am not a fan of the cold?

If frolicking in the ice is not your thing, be sure to join us on Friday night at at the Community Dance from 6-11 pm at the White Bear Country Inn! Tickets are $10 online or at the door. There will be free appetizers, a cash bar, and fun activities with Ranger Things taking the stage at 8 pm.
